If you are a beginner or it is your first contact with felting I suggest taking part in my Flower Brooch classes  and than continue with the next levels.

Flowers are my favourite topic of work, I love them and I think that they are magical and spiritual. It is not easy to make them out of wool and other fabrics showing how fragile they are. I hope I will teach you how to show them blooming flourishing and being just like alive.

Lesson 1 Designing and felting techniques of creating two types of flowers with smooth and sharp edges like a poppy and a sunflower.

Ready product: two brooches
Day 1 – 25th February 2023 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. or 10 a.m.to 1 p.m. (more convenient for Australian Time Zone)
Fee: 60 USD (not including materials)

Lesson 2 Designing and felting a stem with flower leaves and flower buds.

Ready product: a long stem necklace with flowers
Day 2 – 11th March 2023 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. or 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. (more convenient for Australian Time Zone)
Fee: 60 USD (not including materials)

LIST OF MATERIALS AND TOOLS 2 BROOCHES FLOWER WITH SMOOTH AND SHARP EDGES

  • Fine Australian Merino Wool in Roving (Wool top), (Micron 16 preferably but you can also use 18,19) a total of about  20 grams for each flower. You can choose a colour you like depending on the kind of flower you want to make but be prepared to have at least one colour in three different shades for a flower with smooth edges and two colours in different shades for the second. I am planning to make a poppy and a sunflower. So I need red, green, yellow, orange and brown.
  • Silk fibers in black, green, red, yellow, blue – just to decorate (total 2 grams)
  • Sharpe Scissors, a curved-ended Scissors
  • IKEA Mat Variera (with dots) it’s not an obligation, but might be practical to work on, you can replace it with a Piece of Bubble Wrap on your table
  • Ruler
  • Chopstick or Wooden Stick
  • Permanent marker
  • Bowl for Water
  • Hand Soap
  • Towel
  • Bubble Wrap for rubbing 2x (30 x 60 cm)=(12 x 24 inches)
  • Synthetic Kitchen Cloth to absorb the Water
  • A tiny Mesh (net) for covering the Ring during the massage. (20 x 20 cm)=(8 x 8 inches)
  • A tiny Piece of Cotton Cloth for rolling (e.g. an old piece of Sheet) (30 x 60 cm)=(12 x 24 inches)
  • A small round Wooden Tool can also be practical for shaping the Flower.
  • Two metal pin clasps or metal clasp base.
  • Glue
  • 2 Felting needle (2 different thickness sizes)
  • Needle felting brush/mat
  • iron or steamer.

LIST OF MATERIALS AND TOOLS TWIG NECKLACE WITH 3 FLOWERS, LEAVES AND 2 BUDS

  • Fine Australian Merino Wool in Roving (Wool top), (Micron 16 preferably but you can also use 18,19) for the twig (green) a total of about 50 grams and for the flowers (red, blue, orange, yellow etc.) a total of about 50 grams. You can choose a colour you like depending on the kind of flower you want to make but be prepared to have at least one colour in three different shades for a flower and some shades of green for a twig. I am planning to make a poppy. So I need red and green.
  • Silk fibers in black, green, red, yellow, blue – just to decorate (total 2 grams)
  • Some  green woollen yarn (total 6 grams)
  • Sharpe Scissors, a curved-ended Scissors
  • IKEA Mat Variera (with dots) it’s not an obligation, but might be practical to work on, you can replace it with a Piece of Bubble Wrap on your table
  • Ruler
  • Chopstick or Wooden Stick
  • Calipers – to draw circles.
  • Permanent marker
  • Bowl for Water
  • Hand Soap
  • Towel
  • Bubble Wrap for rubbing 2 x (180 x 60 cm)=(70 x 24 inches)
  • Synthetic Kitchen Cloth to absorb the Water
  • A tiny Mesh (net) for covering the surface during the massage. (20 x 20 cm)=(8 x 8 inches)
  • A tiny Piece of Cotton Cloth for rolling (e.g. an old piece of Sheet) (60 x 60 cm)=(22 x 24 inches)
  • A small round Wooden Tool can also be practical for shaping the Flower.
  • 2 Felting needle (2 different thickness sizes)

In both courses you will learn:

  • Basic felting techniques.
  • Layering of fibres, embellishing surfaces with different materials.
  • Shaping, folding and fixing flowers and buds on a twig.
  • Fastening a clasp, pin.

The price of the workshop  covers:

  1. The cost of one meeting – you can choose one or two lessons but I would recommend both of them because the skills you are going to learn differ in both classes. If you are interested only in both courses pay twice 60 USD.
  2. The number of participants is limited  because for me it is important to be in contact with each of you during this artistic process.
  3. You can follow  the workshops live on ZOOM app, which is easy to download for free. You can use any of your digital medium a desktop or a smartphone.
  4. The workshops are available on 25th February and 11th March 2023 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m  or at 10 a.m. which is more convenient for Australian time Zone (Central Europian Time) in English. You can enter the lesson at 5.30 p.m. to check your connection. I will be there in case you have any  problems.

  1. Access to the recording made after the zoom workshops for owners of gmail email addresses. After enrolling the right to share the image and publish materials from lessons prohibited.
  2. Free consultation on Zoom. We will arrange the date together.
  3. On Friday 23rd September 2022 (one day before the workshops) you will get the link and the  code to our live online meeting on Zoom.

After receiving your payment I will confirm your participation on your emails  as soon as possible up to 24 hours

If you want me to supply the materials the cost is 16 USD  (lesson 1) and 23 USD ( lesson 2) plus shipping costs (13USD). Take into consideration the time of shipping. For America it is at least 2 weeks in advance.  To order materials please CONTACT

CANCELLATION
For 1 day events no cancellation is possible!
If you can’t join the event you signed in for, you may join it on another date.

For two and more day workshops a cancellation is possible up to 21 days before the beginning of the workshop. Your deposit fee will be reimbursed less a fee of 50 USD.
Less than 21 days before the workshop, the deposit won’t be refund but you may attend the workshop on another date.
